What is the Capital Soccer Club?

The Capital Soccer Club (CSC) is a not for profit organization established in 1986 to provide competitive
soccer in the Jefferson City community.

CSC is a recognized member of Missouri Youth Soccer Association (MYSA).

CSC is a member of the Jefferson City Youth Soccer League (JCYSL) board.

CSC is a recognized member of the Central Missouri Soccer League (CMSL).
What is the mission of the Capital Soccer Club?

CSC strives to promote the development of competitive soccer in Central Missouri for
all local area boys and girls.

CSC works with and does not compete with the YMCA recreational league or local high
school programs.

CSC works to not only develop soccer players but also civic awareness and responsibility in our youth.
What is the difference between competitive and recreational soccer?

In competitive soccer you will typically find a higher standard of play, more focus on development of both
individual and team skills. Playing time is determined by the child's ability and at the coaches' discretion.
How is the Capital Soccer Club Organized?

Five elected officers provide executive leadership.

CSC head coaches are all volunteers.

CSC head coaches are required to hold an 'E' license through Missouri Youth Soccer Association.

CSC head and assistant coaches are required to participate in the Kid Safe Program.

Most CSC coaches are parents of players, present or past, and others are soccer enthusiasts
willing to offer their time and energy.

CSC pays for the coaches 'E' license training.

CSC covers the travel expenses for non-parent head coaches.

CSC meets the 2nd Monday of each month except December and is open to all members.

CSC is a self-supporting club, reliant upon player registration fees, tournament revenues
and fundraisers.
Why does the Capital Soccer Club hold tryouts?

Tryouts are necessary to conform to MYSA's definition of a competitive program.

CSC might not find a position on a team for everyone who comes to tryouts.

The number of teams formed in each age group will be based on the number of competitive
players available.
When is training?
-
CSC teams will conduct two training sessions per week typically lasting one and one-half hours each session.
-
Training session are held at either the 179 soccer complex or 63 Sports Complex.
What time commitment is expected from the parents?
-
Each team will need a manager. It is the mangers responsibility to help collect and
process all paperwork for the coaches and reserve hotel rooms for the team when traveling out of town.
Some managers are responsible for relaying pertinent information for practices and games.

Every family is required to attend one general meeting sometime throughout the
year and be responsible to bring back the information from that meeting to their team parents.

Each family will be required to work at our four annual tournaments (two in the fall and two in the spring).
What does the $300 registration fee cover?
-
Missouri Youth Soccer Registration and Liability insurance.

Fall & Spring league registration.
-
Home & Away CSC jersey.
-
Team equipment.
-
'E' licensed head coaches.
-
Access to the 179-soccer complex for training.
-
Six to eight tournaments per year. The CSC Capital Shoot-out, the CSC Fall Season Finale,
CSC Soccerfest and the CSC Spring Season Finale plus up to four out of town tournaments. Non-club tournaments are
at the discretion of the head coach.

Missouri Youth Soccer Association (MYSA) form - please download from

information section, the ID number is the state file number on the players birth certificate, skip
license level, date and administration positive, complete parent information, sign and date liability release.

Medical release - please download from CSC forms page. Complete and notarize
as directed.

Code of Ethics form (kids) - please download from

a Code of Ethics form.

One 2" x 2" school photo.

Two copies of players' birth certificate.

One copy of players health insurance card.

Check for $300 made payable to Capital Soccer Club. Please note the coaches and players
name in the memo section. Additional children will be will be $275.00 per child.

Separate payment for any shorts or socks ordered at registration. Sample of sizes will
be available.
