At the general meeting on January 14, 2008, the CSC established three new committees. We need volunteers to serve these committees, so please consider helping the club!

We would like five members per committee. If we don’t get volunteers, we will start drafting individuals until we fill the committees.

Remember, your support and help is the most important aspect of making CSC the strongest club in Central Missouri as we move forward!

Tournament Director Search Committee — help needed ASAP!

This committee must be filled by January 25. All work must be complete and a report to the board by the end of February 2008.

Service on this committee will be for a very limited term committee. We need individuals to identify sources to run our tournaments since the resignation of our current tournament director. We can look to outside entities to come and run things or find an individual locally who is willing to do so. This committee will make recommendations to the Board of Directors regarding possible solutions. You will also be asked to help establish a payment system for this position. If you are interested in this committee, contact Matt Cowell immediately.

If you know of someone who would be interested in the position of Tournament Director or are interested in the position personally, contact Matt Cowell.

Scholarship Committee

This committee will be in charge of establishing criteria and guidelines for administering the scholarship program within CSC and will create an application for the scholarship program. In addition, we'd like this committee to develop a sponsorship relationship with local businesses, under which they can donate to the scholarship fund in exchange for some type of advertising within CSC.

Fan Wear Committee

We are looking for ways to expand and update our offerings of CSC fan wear and logo styles. We would like this new committee to take a look at what is available and determine what would be well received. We have received many equests for various different types of CSC merchandise, but have never had the opportunity to explore the feasibility or other options available. JT Schokker will be available to help and guide this committee.
